Today I got a surprise call from the center I go for psychiatric attention, after quite a while waiting, finally I got the chance to speak to a group of doctors about my transition, I mean doctors that could actually help me, the session began with them asking my pronouns social name and stuff, I got baffled! I never seen that in real life, part of me wanted to laugh XD
Jokes aside, they told a lot of things that could help me, and now I m getting closer to get an appointment with a endocrinologist, if things go well I will finally get hormones in the proper way, and perhaps even get the hormones for free trough the public health care system!
Another small step on the journey, but it came in good time, I was feeling quite down lately regarding the entire "trans existence", I don't exactly why but I've been bombarded by all sorts of transphobic memes and propaganda lately, I curate my social medias very well to ensure I'm not friends with shitty people or pages, but seems like nowadays EVERYONE has some opinion on trans people, and it often is not a nice one, I'm seeing even pages that have no reason to say anything about it posting flat out cruel anti-trans material, like by example, some days ago I saw a page about kaijus a dinosaurs making posts mocking trans suicide...like really!?why?Some years ago, back when I was drinking "enlightened centrist" sewage on the internet, I used to see trans people and other sorts of queer as bitter and unreasonable, but now living in the other side of the mirror I completely understand this rage and I say with certainty its entirely justified, our enemies literaly want us dead and they talk about it like it was a casual thing...how to not get upset about it?
But I know there is a silver lining, this increase in transphobic propaganda is a symptom of the reactionary desperation, people told me about it several times but I refused to belive, now I see it, they are loosing ground, politicaly and culturaly, trans representation is hitting the mainstream in all sides, and for the people who see it as threat, must be really scary and anxiety inducing, like a strong grip slowly crushing their necks...I almost feel empathy for them, but since they want me dead, fuck them! :U

Sadly, that anti trans garbage is everywhere these days.
For instance, just the other day an artist that I've followed for years here who was already a long time gun nut and rather susceptible to paranoia and conspiracy theories posted a journal with his usual gun nut shit as well as a generous helping of misogyny. But, as if that wasn't enough, he then added a comment to that that a well known notoriously hateful and aggressive viewer of his had posted in response, which contained some rather offensive anti trans bile.
Some people called him out on this, and an old "Friend" of his who's trans blocked him. He'd never voiced anything like that before, but there you go. His slide to the bigoted right continues.
He posted another journal a day or two later, and instead of apologizing, which he should obviously have done, he just tried to put the blame on his "Friend" saying she should "Relax", and then doubling down on the anti trans shit, calling trans people "Trannies", and saying that some of them are "Giggling assholes taking advantage of the current wave of Political Correctness to be, well, assholes".
And to top that all off, a couple of days later, he posted another journal that was bigoted against Pakistani and Muslim people.
Jesu Fuckin Christo.
Yeah, these bigots are just showing how afraid they are of losing their imagined superior and exclusive place at the top of society.
Also this also ties on that thing I mentioned some journals ago, about old/unsuccessful artists posting bigoted shit to gain clout and pose as "free thinkers" more and more I'm seeing this happening.
A lot of people here in the US, particularly those on the right, have some weird, completely imaginary, romantic cowboyish notion of guns and have no idea what the emotional toll of shooting or killing someone or being shot actually has on everyone anywhere near the people involved would actually be.
This dude is one of those old time furry artists and he's a 2A absolutist who is against any restrictions on weapons at all. I tend to trust him personally in regard to guns, but you certainly can't trust everybody. We argue about this all the time, and he trots out every hackneyed cliche on the subject that you've ever heard.
He's definitely one of those folks that thinks that the Second Amendment was created with the purpose of the people being able to overthrow an oppressive government, even when it obviously wasn't, and he imagines himself the hero in such a situation in spite of what a completely ridiculous and paranoid idea that is.
He's also the very cartoon of a libertarian and definitely fancies himself a "Free thinker" despite his tendency to be swayed by popular conspiracy theories. I mean, I GUESS that's free thinking, as long as facts aren't especially important to you.
I don't think he does any of this for the purpose of clout chasing, but he does seem to be sliding steadily to the right. He doesn't consider himself to be on the right at all, but he attracts a mostly right wing audience, about half of whom have blocked me for being a leftist, despite my never having said an unkind word to them, and I've never even talked to half of those people at all. Personally, I never block anyone.
Supportive doctors and other care professionals are something we can always have more of. Something we need more of and easier access to.
