The two I use are Ad-Block Plus (which I think sold out), and Ublock Origin, and I never have much problem anywhere. I think that combo may help your rebel cause lol

I use Adblocker Ultimate on Firefox (my main browser) and Edge (though I use that browser very sparely due to it using Chromium.) This issue is present across all ad-blockers on the web so using multi ad blockers at the same time won't help out according to a page I read from the Brave browser.

I use firefox as well, and do not use Edge at all, and again, I've never had problems like that. Occasionally one will stop a page from opening up, but almost 90% of the time, turning off ABP and letting Ublock Origin run has solved any issue I've had. The pair of them together work, and I can't imagine the person on the page you read being correct.

Perhaps that issue is exclusive to the Brave browser. I'll follow your advice and install Ublock Origin for when I start getting the message on the platform.

And I know my friend went into Ublock just now and "Zapped element", highlighting the window of the Youtube popup, and that took care of it.

As for Google ordering us to purchase YouTube Premium to get rid of ads, this video has convinced me not to:

Premium doesn't get rid of all the ads, it's cost has gone up in price, and why would I want to pay for a useless service like YouTube Music when I already have an account and premium for Spotify.

But you are still getting served ads, yeah it might not be targeted, but it doesn't mean it can't be malicious. Some VPN's have a built in ad blocker, but not all do. VPN's are not a magic bullet.

You should be using an ad blocker for your own safety. All it takes is for you to watch a random video on YouTube for instance and then a rouge ad plays that launches a malicious attack and screws your computer over.

I use Adblocker Ultimate but any ad blocker you find on whatever browser you use will do. Avoid Adblock Plus as companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon pay it huge fees to get their ads unblocked.

I was talking with  Jyoo_C_Froot and he uses two ad blockers, one of which is Ublock Origin. It might not be a bad idea to have two ad blockers but only have one active active at a time, so if one gets blocked you can use the other. Use Ublock Origin and whatever other ad blocker you wish.

That's seems like a good idea.

Make sure you've set your extensions to auto update to keep the ad blockers up to date. Most of these ad blockers are open sourced by the community and because of Google's declaration of war on them, they won't work 100% all the time. I haven't seen the message today so far, but that doesn't mean it won't show up again.

I forgot to mention this, but be sure to get SponsorBlock as well. I don't care much for the sponsors and I find them to be as annoying as ads themselves.

Yes, and it skips them like they were ads. As I said before, I don't care for sponsors and some can be scams.

All I can say is thank god for the communities who are fighting against this new threat with their ad blockers. Without their ad blockers, I would never be able to use the internet without exposing myself to viruses, malware and all that crap.
