Where I’ve been!

Piercing red gaze and silent footsteps...be cautious you just entered a panther's territory!!!
Hey everyone, soul with a major update. So I know some of you might have been wondering where I’ve been. Well as I mentioned in my last journal my previous laptop of about 10 years died on me and the hard drive was the culprit. I took the hard drive to a local repair shop where the guy opened it to take a look at it and didn’t have the resources to do anything else from that point. Now, keep in mind ALL of my work and media (pics, videos, writing, etc) was on the hard drive! So researching a few places I found a data recovery center that seemed reputable! So I sent my hard drive to the center and proceeded to buy a new laptop.
Now here’s the scary part: when the facility received my hard drive, they informed me of possible data loss/corruption due to it being opened outside a clean room (something I did not know at the time). So in order to proceed with ATTEMPTING to recover my files and such I needed to pay a service fee so they could clean my hard drive and assess the damage. So I paid the fee a week later and waited for a callback, which I received several days later. Against all odds, ALL of my files could be recovered and sent to me…after a fairly hefty fee. Due to how much irreplaceable work was on the drive I decided the fee was more than worth it!
So over the course of 3 weeks I paid what was asked and in 4 days I got my data and ALL of my files back! This was yesterday! So after getting all of my files back I put them on my new laptop and did a thorough virus scan just to be safe!
Now everything is back to normal and I have all my writings and pictures back! So that is the reason I have not been able to post anything these past couple months!
Now that I’m back I hope to continue on and showcase everything that I’ve gotten! In addition, as a sort of “welcome back” I will be revealing a new character for this spooky time of year that I’ve had time to work on while I was waiting for everything to be resolved!
It’s good to be back and I hope to share more stuff with you guys!

que bueno que no se perdió nada tuviste mucha suerte recomendaría hacer un respaldo o copia de seguridad o usar la nube o USB o algún dispositivo de almacenamiento para evitar alguna perdida de información en un futuro

Consider investing in a external hard drive for backup

If your hard drive was an HDD, you got taken for a ride. The data is stored and read magnetically, and dust on the disc's surface shouldn't have interfered with the recovery. I'm assuming an HDD, because what I've heard about SSDs is that you're SoL if they break (anything major).
