Ack! Not great news, but it is good that you got to the hospital so your arm ciuld be healed. I would not be surprised if it was a bacterial infection instead of rabies. Either way, I think you will be back to normal in a few weeks :)

Yes I think so too, but "just in case" my cat was quarantined for 10 days and should be monitored (in fact I got a call and was told to just send a video of her condition every day). After that I should be given a certificate that she doesn't have rabies and I won't get any more vaccinations.

You could check if in your local pharmacy they have any cream for future issues. They sell some creams that are antibacteria, help with the itchiness and also make the scar heal faster. I got it for cheap when my cats still didnt control their strenght, and from time to time if they hurt me I use it, never had any other issue ^^

Oh I have this cream, I once bought the ointment to heal wounds when Sima scratched her ear badly

No, only after 10 days of quarantine will my cat get a rabies shot. I still have five more days to wait
