He lost his battle with heart and kidney failure today. He was 74 years old. Served in the Coast Guard, commanded a Civil Air Patrol squadron, was the shop manager for 600 Racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, helping create the Legends car and Bandaleros programs. And was a reverse engineer at Steele Rubber until he retired years ago.

I'm really going to miss him.
