Lemon Demon is Millennial Oingo Boingo
Neil Cicierega might be a Millennial (born in 1986), and Danny Elfman might be a Boomer (born in 1953), but Lemon Demon is the most Oingo Boingo-ish band that ever Boingo'd! Other than Oingo Boingo, that is. Creature Feature also drew influence from Oingo Boingo, but Lemon Demon has even more of that sound.
Elfman-era Oingo Boingo was one of the bands that defined the vibe of Generation X. Fun fact: Billy Idol is a Boomer (born in 1955) and was the frontman of a band called "Generation X" in the '70s. That was before the term "Generation X" was part of the common parlance.
Note: The Oingo Boingo brothers from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure were named after the greatest band of all time.
