Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Well, I feel like I just stumbled into some council meeting blind drunk, unshaven and unkempt, only just realising that everyone has already left the building... Merry Christmas! On a more serious note, I hope you all had a great Christmas and spent quality time with those who matter to you. It has been a rather uneventful one at my end, (might consider actually putting up decorations one year).
This year has been a busy one. Balancing creative work with life's obligations and responsibilities is never easy. I've wasted a lot of time just getting back from work feeling drained and shattered, thus failing productivity targets spectacularly. I've also been directing so much energy on training in the run up to my Wing-Chun grading, which I also failed because I just haven't quite grasped Chum Kiu *sigh* I also stopped running and attending the gym regularly. I'm one of those guys that likes to commit his time to things and meet goals, it feels fulfilling. However, I have been hitting the breaks in recent weeks. I suppose it's that time of year where you just have to kick back and relax I guess.
In the new year I do plan to get myself back into gear, just like I did at the start of 2023. Get more active physically and mentally. There are a number of unfinished projects to resume, including pencil drawings and a couple of digital paintings, one of which is a commission. I really have to thank my commissioner for his patience, I really appreciate him for that, honestly. I plan on updating my SubscribeStar gallery upon finishing these pending projects in the new year and cherry picking certain pieces for submission to my Furaffinity gallery a month later. I should also mention I'll be going abroad in February to Thailand and Singapore with my dad. I think I really need a proper holiday to kick the year off. I think time away will help to recharge and reinvigorate.
Anyway, thanks for reading. I hope to speak with you in 2024. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
