I've felt very lost this year when it comes to my journey as an artist, especially as I navigate being relatively unknown on social media. Posting and doing business online can often be a thankless job especially as a freelance artist, and this year has been no exception to that. As 2024 looms on the horizon, I've had to give myself pause to think about exactly what I want to do going forward.

While one of my main goals is to get my art seen by as many people as possible, I've realized that just chasing that dream by trying to do what other artists and posters say isn't enough for both me or my audience. I can't just follow trends or some jaded technique to make my work more popular. Success online is often due to sheer luck and the invisible hand of algorithms.

I now think that sort of thing is crap. I want to know my audience better. I want to hone in on what I'm good at. I want to make stuff that is actually BETTER.

I've no experience with marketing or any of that sort of stuff but regardless, I've made a questionnaire for you all so that I can learn a few things about the people I interact with online and how my art factors into that.
