So with the approach of the end of the year, I'll assemble my thoughts here about my own work! I think it's really important to be critical and introspective with regards to your own work, so I think I'll need to 'be real' here for a second and try to look at my own stuff objectively. Partly because writing it out makes me actually grapple with it (rubber ducky method) but also because it might help you with your own writing endeavors!

So the beginning of 2023 was rough for me since I had a lot of setbacks like kidney stones that December before it, so I was dooming about whether I'd ever be able to get back on the writing bandwagon again ('you fell off' lmao). However, I managed to muster up the nerve (with Gargi's encouragement) to begin writing again. The first story I wrote for the year was actually a story to finally go with that giraffe x fennec gym merging thing :3 (Ill Gotten Gains) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50460425/

So, I opened up a few comms and wrote up Ethan's Escapism https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50481386/ as the first of the batch! It was the second UDTF thing I did and it was a nice opportunity to work on UDTF again, which has sort of become very familiar to me by now >:3 The story was neat and I finally got to try how it works out when your penis forms into a head, really surreal to think about! I was pleased by how it came out, maybe it leans a bit too much into 'overexplaining' the details but it felt like it came out pretty naturally to write.

I then wrote Eternal Ejaculation https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50560271/ which was a 'CTF' that involved turning into a bunch of cocks (a cock-monster, if you were). I was quite pleased with the results and thought it came out really fancy and fluid. The piece has a real cool aesthetic and it was quite well-received, I thank Ember for giving me the 'artistic freedom' to accomplish it.

A Lesson in Ball Breeding https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50638388/ was a non-TFy story mostly about a futa fox getting her cock-fucked! This was a fun little personal work, not much to say really; if you like urethral stuff then it's your kinda shenanigan!

Party Wiped https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50649073/ of course, really fun piece to work on. I appreciate that Lord gave me a lot of leeway with what to write. I've always enjoyed fantasy settings and DMing stuff so basically getting paid to DM for myself (after coming up with some interesting charry ideas) was a treat! Lotta fun possibilities in that setting!

Clarita's Wang https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50743899/ was a fun partial CTF story I wrote as a request for docopoper. I was quite driven by the idea of a partial CTF that turns out badly, so I got carried away with the length! I was pleased with the level of characterization I managed to impart as well as pleased with Clarita's level of intensity! It can be fun to do a willing/engaged sub as the cock for a change, so that's great!

Chelsea's Offer https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50789959/ in my opinion, came out very well! I think I kinda pushed the boundaries of the amount of detail I could squeeze into a CTF and it really hit all the notes. Like if I were to write a 'maxed out' CTF, I can't really imagine it coming out much better than that. Plus demons are fun!

The Week After https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50812328/ This was a really big (20k word) project for Corgi Commander and I managed to squeeze a bunch of unique takes on the usual animal merge stuff. I admit it's kinda rough around the edges and I feel at that length I could've done a better job with characterization and so on, but still! Novel-length Flag work, woo! Corgi also gave me the chance to portray the scenario from the animal POV so that was really intriguing too! There were some challenging action-oriented parts which were interesting to try, but I feel like overdescribing stuff kinda hindered some of the pacing.

The Bee's Knees https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50963721/ Anal vore story but admittedly the vore's kinda short! Still, it was neat to try a more vore-oriented piece, and I got to have fun with the humor. It's maybe one of my weaker works but a vore story rounds things out quite well!

Bad End Anthology 2 & the Curse of the Cerberus https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50995217/ There were a lot of stories in the anthology but I think Curse of the Cerberus might've been the most popular one that round. It's a short work but I felt it was punchy and UDTF is neat! Seems like people really like my fantasy stuff >:3 I had a lot of fun with one of Lora's heads forming out of her pussy and emerging out of it, probably my favorite part :3c

The Dragon Pet https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51037903/ (Warning: Female castration story, basically) While this one was challenging to write, I quite enjoyed the vibe of it as well as the details/flavor of the prose. Some aspects were quite clever, really, the way it ended up fitting together >:3 I think it was objectively one of my stronger works but of course it's castration-based so naturally not everyone's cup of tea. Really though I don't think faves alone are really indicative of a work's quality, faves in my opinion are more a factor of search terms + popularity of the kink.

Jain's Gift https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51061407/ also felt like it came out real well, and was in fact pretty smooth to write (except for maybe the ending bits, I have a little trouble with those). I can't really think of a way I'd improve it or think to add more details to it, it covers all the notes of an onahole TF in my opinion really! I think folks really enjoyed the focus on the pleasure/internal sensations of Jain and I think female pleasure/genitalia is kinda underappreciated in most writing so it was good to show it some attention!

Party Wiped 2! Had a lotta fun with the intro and the culmination (arm TF) was really neat!

The Phantom Stud https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52214919/ Well I think this is definitely one of my most popular ones! OWO I myself am quite pleased with how it came out, really just flew off the page as they say. I think I did quite well with the details, of course pneumana (the commissioner) had a great idea for the premise. I think in this particular case there was a lot of synergy with the TF and the theme (loss of femininity) which ties together really well!

The Alpha Bitch https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52297529/ I did have fun writing this one even if the start is kind of clunky (sorry) and it's mostly a vanilla sex story with light TF towards the end. Understandably most folks are watching me for longer, wilder TFs so I kinda get why there's maybe not so many faves on this one.

Jayren's Hard Time https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52354237/ This was another cock-monster story! Frysco wanted to commission something related to a medical-themed cock-monster story I wrote (The Cockbeast Disease) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50120989/ There was a fun body horror vibe to this story which culminates into the peak of the horror, eyes turning into cocks. I'm quite pleased with the level of detail and how crazy Jayren's situation gets!

Zoonotic Fusion https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52500357/ A tabletop game that came about as a random, inspired idea! Was really fun to write actually, I've revised it a few times since as well. Probably y'know maybe not the best for actually playing (hasn't gone through much playtesting plus there's some janky parts) but I think it's really unique!

Some Damned Thing https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52517275/ This was a personal work that I was inspired to write, a double-dildo TF! I admit there weren't many faves at first which was disheartening but it did pick up quite a few later so it's kinda vindicated >:3 I've gotten a lot of positive feedback for the humor and I think besides that and how the two charries play off each other, there's the neat little premise of a double-dildo TF itself :3c

Curse of the Cerberus 2 https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52652757/ Also really fun to write! Neat little CTF story that continues from Curse of the Cerberus 1 and has a lot of tasty detail >:3 Not much to say about it otherwise, I do write a lot of CTF stuff!

SCP-6969 https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52681267/ I think this is my most popular inanimate-TF story and it's certainly unique among my stories! A fuckdoll-TF with a post-tf focus, kinda told from multiple POVs for maximum mindfuckery. It was kinda challenging to write and took some time but there was a lot of variety in the styles used in the work. Also, it was challenging to try and make things fit into the SCP kinda universe!

Jain's Thirst https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52801640/ was my first succplant-TF story and I think it's a very solid take on the idea! I can't really think of more detail I could squeeze into it, and some parts of the story had a really nice flow to them! I really enjoy writing plant TFs and wrote a bunch for Xenospermia, so it was nice to apply those ideas to this story >:3

General thoughts so far:
Some of the works suffer from 'overexplaining' at the expense of pacing. I think maybe dumping all the details of the characters into the opening paragraphs is also a bit much but it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. Still, I think it's probably unnecessary to describe characters overly much since it's hard to retain that much info as you keep reading.
I could stand to put more effort into characterization maybe, some characterizations were quite good but others were a little lacking.
These older works had points where the flow was weak. I've been focusing more on smoother flow for the writing (as in being particular about which details are placed first and where), which especially helps in intros since there's a lot to say at once.
Sometimes endings are weak which can be attributed to me being tired by the end lol.
Trying to keep mindful of thoughts/inner world type stuff to sprinkle in a decent amount of that aside from what's happening physically
