[Emergency] I was the victim of a hit and run

I was debating on whether or not to bring this up on my business accounts, but here we go…
Here’s the short version of the story:
I’m 800+ miles away visiting my family over the holidays, and out of no where I get a call from my room mate that someone hit my car. Who? I have no idea, but they smashed the back of my car in before fleeing the scene. By the title, I’m sure it’s obvious that they didn’t think to leave behind a business card, and this isn’t help that the lot my car is parked in has no surveillance, so despite notifying the police, it’s unlikely I’ll be able to press charges or even find out who did this.
I can probably find a way to cover the damages, but money’s tight.
