Life Update & 2024 Changes
General
Hey y'all!
General life update from me...still living at my Mom's to save money to buy a house. We gave up on the grant program we were working towards since their threshold for income was so horribly low we'd be barely scraping by if we continued to adhere to it. Really frustrating how little programs like that have taken into account inflation. $56k for two people is really...not that much, especially considering how much debt I have...
So, all that to say- my BF is working now! I think he's a lot happier, feeling like he wasn't contributing was wearing on him despite my insistence it didn't matter.
He did convince me that I should work less, since we'll be able to afford it. I feel bad about it, because even now I turn away more clients than I'd like due to lack of space but...I'm just one person, and he's right- I need to take a breather. I've been sprinting for years, and I need to look after myself a bit more. We'll get where we're going, I don't need to destroy myself to do it.
Effective Feb 2024 I'll be taking Sundays off in addition to Thursdays and Sundays! My new schedule will look like --
Mon - Patreon Work / Offstream Work
Tues - Stream (4hrs of slots)
Wed - OFF
Thurs - OFF
Fri - Stream (4hrs of slots)
Sat - Patreon Work / Offstream Work
Sun - OFF
This does mean openings will be fewer and further between, especially with patrons gobbling up most of my spots.
If you really have been hankering for a slot Patreon or the telegram channel are your best bets (for quicksale openings). ALL Patrons (even $1 tier!) get access to priority booking for regular timed slots AND quicksales!
Telegram Art Channel| Telegram Announcement Channel | Patreon
TLDR: I'll be working less starting in February. Which means less commission openings. Sorry!
Thank you all so so much for your support and encouragement. I am thankful every day that I'm able to do this sustainably.
Here's to lots of cool new stuff in the coming year!

Happy 2024 and may it continue bringing you good rest!
56k for TWO PEOPLE??? yikes, that's insane. Like.. they want you to have enough income to cover the mortgage payment but with that you'd not have enough for ANYTHING else. That's wild.
Yeah haha - and that's before taxes! I'd owe ~$10k on taxes on that amount so it's actually 46k lol.
It would be...doable if it was only for a short time, but this program was so slow to get us approved...it took them over a year to give us the go-ahead to make offers on homes. But by then I'd had to take on more debt for my cat's medical bills and we couldn't get approved for enough to offer on basically anything before the six month time limit was up and we had to re-apply.
It was a whole mess -v-
