New Years Reflection/Resolution

Woop 2024 is here all you fluffy boys n gals!
Last year I started this account after transferring from the old one for a few reasons and I have to say I’m really liking the direction it’s going so far. Granted it’s been only like 6 months or so, but for whatever reason I feel like I have more freedom to do whatever and go in any direction with these characters moreso than before. Because of this, I’m happy to look forward to doing a lot more art and stories this year, not only because of this newfound freedom, but especially since four labs a week aren’t weighing me down anymore!
The fall semester last year was rough ngl, four pretty intense labs meant I could only do like a piece or two a month, maybe 3 MAX. But taking some time away from grinding art constantly made me fall in love with not only my major again but also really helped improve my mood and outlook for the future, especially since I could finally get my grades up again (I got a 4.0!). In addition, that time away from art sorta gave me more time to really think about the stuff I did want to draw, meaning I came into each piece with a better plan and wasn’t fighting constantly debating what to do.
This coming spring and summer I’ll be back at an internship again, so not only will I not have to deal with the constant stress of lab reports and exams, but I’ll be making money again! Double yay! Then it’s one year left till I’ll be done with college and out in the real world, they won’t know what hit em >:3
With this extra time, I wanna really get deep in the nitty gritty of drawing skills and work a lot more on fundamentals to help improve my work, focusing especially on painting. So, my resolution for this year for art is to first and foremost draw more lol, then work on the comic (at least a page every couple of weeks) and another secretive project I have working in the background (something that rhymes with lame and starts with g)
All that being said, rambling yote out, have a fabulous new year mother fluffers.
