I cant help but offer a little bit of advice upon reading this.
If I was to be honest; and using myself as an example too, try not to worry about dating.

Go out there and give the world a middle finger and tell it, "I'm going to live my life for me"
Do some of the things you do and just try to improve yourself.

Dating and then a relationship, will fall into place when the time it right ^-^

I know the feeling. I did get things in my life in order. Got a descent job, lost weight, looking good. And doing the looking. Difficult since I want a partner who I can have kids with. Which makes it extra challenging. But try not to give up. Believe it or not, it sounds like you are doing slightly better than me.

I know how that feels buddy, I was ghosted for over a year and a half and they only barely responded and it essentially lead to "let's be friends", it's rough but the best thing is to keep moving forward and learn what makes you desirable instead of flexing for their needs

It took me until I was 30 to find my soulmate. Up until that point, I felt the exact same way you do. I mean, an overweight gay guy living in a conservative town in the Bible Belt? The odds of me finding someone were practically zero.

Trust me when I say there's somebody out there for everyone, I'm living proof of that fact. Just don't give up, and live your life in a way that makes you happy.
