An unfortunate development. People are the same everywhere, which has its highs, but also its lows. It would be nice if the bad guys were some niche group we could round up and put on an ice floe somewhere, but the badness is within all of us.This could have been worse, so much worse, but it still stinks.With any luck though the donated money can still be moved to the good.

Who knows if it still exists though? The Khalil family could have very well spent the funds, ever on keeping their fraud services going, or they spent it on themselves. Who can say? I doubt we will get any honest answers from Jirard, especially since it was just revealed that he had a Twitch stream (now deleted) over a month ago, trying to play the victim and asking people for more money, even after his scams were being exposed. That just proves that he not only lies but is very manipulative when he wants to be. I doubt many of the Dementia charities that were constantly mentioned by Jirard will get their money, unless the IRS does reveal some illegal activity going on, but even then there is still no guarantee that the charities will get their money, it will just mean that the Khalil's or at least some of them will go to jail for fraud.

I remain hopeful, so far it seems like a lot of the money was left to it, rather than being spent on hookers and blow as soon as it was donated. That leaves open the possibility that a lot of it could still be tucked away, and open to still being donated -the least these people can do in this situation. If the well IS dry, well that's the bigger pity then, but it would be nice if most of the good intentions could yet be salvaged.

It's extremely doubtful at this stage. The longer Jirard avoids the blatant elephant in the room and continues to do dumb things like ask for more donations or keep a golf tournament going, the more chance there is that he is really a criminal.

If he had any REAL sense of duty and humility, he would have come clean by now.
