Hey, everyone! I hope your holidays all went really well regardless of what you ended up doing or who you spent it with. Anyways, Now that it's the beginning of the year it's time for my quarterly update on what's going on with me and what I have planned coming up for commissions and beyond.

So, getting some quick business stuff out of the way, I'm going to be doing an increase on my commission prices for 2024, going up to $17 per 1000 words. I know it's a bit of a jump in price but I feel that with the discounts I offer and everything increasing in price it feels fair. Plus I haven't done a price increase in a little while so now's the time. Now, for anyone that has a story in my current queue, don't worry, those will be grandfathered in under my 2023 prices. This will only take effect the next time I open up (which if all goes well should be early February.)

Continuing on with commissions, I'm changing up a few things with how my queue works too. In order to better provide myself with a way to manage my workload. I freely admit that 2023 was not my most productive year in terms of commission work. My depression and IRL stuff hit a little harder than I was expecting to and I let that get to me more often than I should've. I also took on way too much at one time and having a story raffle and taking on two Secret Santa projects during December was admittedly not my best decision but I everyone was happy with what I put out so that makes it worth it in the long run.

So, in addition to outlining new ways to help my time management, I'm also going to be officially putting in a hard limit on my story queue with six stories being accepted at one time. I'm also going to be posting them in the profile header on my FA page so that y'all can see what slots are filled and what the progress will be as well. I'm doing this mainly because not everyone regularly checks my Trello so having a quick way to look I think is better in the long run. In addition, I'm also going to be implementing a hard limit of 6000 words for stories as well. If you want to commission me for something longer than that, though, don't fret as that will still be an option. I just will only be accepting one of those at a time, something I'm referring to as an "Extended Words" slot. Really long stories obviously take up a lot of time when it comes to working on them so I'm hoping this is going to help me focus a little more tightly in. Obviously I'm down for accepting any kind of feedback or suggestions as well so sound off below if you have thoughts or ideas. I'm always open and willing to listen.

Moving on from comms, I also have a few new things that are going to be coming. The first one is that I'm going to be trying to reach out and spread some influence further out there to get as many eyes as possible on my work as well. I'm going to be using my Archive of Our Own profile a bit more often from now on where I'll be cross-posting stories there whenever something new comes out as well as potentially uploading a backlog. At the current, that's mainly the only other place I post my stuff since I've essentially sworn off posting things on DeviantArt. A few additional candidates I have as well are Weasyl and Furry Network. I did have an Itaku at one point but it's not very writer-friendly so I quickly abandoned that. If anyone has ideas for other places I could potentially use too, I'm all ears.

For additional projects, there's a YCH that I've had on the backburner for a little while now that I'm going to be putting out later this year as well so look forward to that one. I'm also workshopping the idea of doing more themed raffles as well, probably something every six months or so but that's still coming. I'm also going to be going through some previous gift stories that I'd written and made for friends and other folks and uploading them here. I previously didn't put them up because I felt weird posting stuff I made for people for free but then I realized that logic was dumb so now I'm going to be uploading those soon.

As for something that doesn't involve me doing writing, I've also been experimenting with doing 3D modeling work so expect to see some things like that as well as some VR Chat shenanigans as well. I got a Meta Quest 3 for Christmas and I also purchased a canine base model so once I figure out how to edit it and put some clothes on it, y'all might see the Puppen running around and doing goofy stuff. Maybe also a few Vtuber-like streams as well? I don't know. Would anyone want to actually watch me write stories? I'm always down for trying new stuff.
