This morning, a friend of mine made me aware that in an effort to push YouTube Premium on the users who have been viewing for free, that Google/YouTube has returned to "Suboptimal viewing" to those who use an Ad Block extension, program, etc.
My view on Ad Blockers is that these applications, programs, extensions, etc...are there to support Anti-Virus programs against malicious data, programs, etc. So, for Google/YouTube to say "Either turn off your AdBlock or subscribe for Ad-Free YouTube Premium" seems to be along the same lines as extortion to me.
Why do the people at YouTube, if there are people there anymore and not run by some sort of AI/Bot, think that I'd want to pay money for an ad-free YouTube? How can they think that what they offer is on the same level as say Amazon Prime, Hulu, Paramount Plus or other such streaming services?
It's ridiculous, it's all bullshit folks, and it's bad for ya.
