Thieves are crab stepping from stealing bases and using MS paint to having several filters work with an image search engine to generate stolen work, same scam, new tech.

But, as AI will get even better in the future, it'll all come down to trust. Like in expensive restaurants, you just trust that you get the better ingredients because you are paying for them, and not only a slab of dressed-up garbage. Same thing will be with commissions, you have to trust the creator that they really put in the effort and not just hand you AI garbage. But, as with restaurants, you can still usually "taste" if you get the good stuff or the bad stuff and know if you've been ripped off...

I don't even find most "adoptables" tempting, and the idea still confuses someone like me who makes characters even when I don't mean to. =P But now people are using AI to generate them?
