Aurora Major Characters Showcase

With a couple new faces getting ready to pop up in the story in the coming chapters, I think I should take a moment and tell you a little bit about them, as well as recap some of the info from the main cast we already know. Bios will be a little sparse as some characters stories will come to light as the story progresses, but a couple aren't as important.

Bio: Slyrrinmar Falar was born in Exusia to an exusian father, and a vixen mother. Because of his half fox side, if he'd stayed there he would be destined to become a trophy slave. To spare him this life the decision was made to smuggle him out of the country so he could grow up free to make his own decisions in life. He was raised by a family of Ravens who were business partners of his father. Even as a kit, his fascination with zeppelins was obvious. He completed school and went on to learn all he could about the flying airships. His dream was to own and operate one of his very own. After he'd completed the training to pilot and maintain one as well as business management his biological and adoptive fathers, surprised him by giving him a big enough loan that he could put the down payment on one and get started on his business venture. His business has thrived since, and he now completely owns The Moonchaser.

Bio: Aria was born as Arryn Pyria in the free fox nation of Bidel. Her family were lower middle class and barely scraped out a living. Aria was offered a scholarship to a college in Freeport due to her intelligence, and her parents managed to save enough money to send her via a fishing vessel that offered passage for a small fee. She would unfortunately never make it to Freeport. En route the ship was hijacked by members of the FVA, or Free Vixen Alliance who sought to use the vessel in a hit and run raid on an exusian controlled island. This plan did not succeed, and the FVA members along with everyone on board the ship were taken prisoner. Arryn harbors a deep seated fear of exusians from her childhood. She had never physically seen one before, but the ways they were talked about, and the things she was shown as a kid terrified her so badly that she had night terrors. Now she was in their hands. After being trained for a life of sexual servitude she was set to be sold off, but the exusian handling her didn't secure her well enough and she escaped. She stowed away aboard the first zeppelin she spotted, and that's how she came to be aboard the Moonchaser. She bartered passage back as close as the Captain could bring her to Bidel by offering to be his slave until they arrive. Six months later and he made good on his end of the deal. Having gotten to know the Captain she hesitated to leave, but she did. Finding her family's lives back in Bidel hadn't changed in her absence, and noting differences between what she experienced on board the Moonchaser, and her prospective life in Bidel, she decided to go back to the Moonchaser willingly and took her place as the first member of the Captain's harem. She is now the head of his harem.

Bio: Aurora was born Arnarra Siora on the island of Bidel a free fox. In the minority, arctic foxes are looked down on by the red foxes that make up the vast majority of Bidel's population. Most arctics in the world live in the snowy region of the Pale Peaks and are very primitive compared to their red fox cousins, so the stereotype is that they all are ignorant or stupid even if they were born and raised in Bidel. Arnarra's mother tried to subvert that view by joining the Bidel military, but unfortunately did not make it back home. Arnarra herself once she graduated high school was approached by the Free Vixen Alliance and recruited into their ranks. She was sold on the idea that the FVA took arctic foxes seriously, and that they respected all foxes equally. Her cell leader was an arctic fox after all. This would lead to her being on board the Moonchaser and being caught before an assassination attempt could take place. Which is where our story began.

Bio: Sera is a pretty typical tigress. After the civil war started in her homeland of Aswan, she fled to Freeport to escape the fighting and planned to return once the dust is settled, and hopefully Queen Osiris is back on the throne instead of her brother Rak-kal. She found a job as a chef on board the Moonchaser and has been working there a few years now. With the civil war all but over with Osiris' brother Rak-kal on the throne now she no longer plans to go back. Sera is trained in the traditional style of tiger belly dancing and has given Amber lessons in it. She enjoys things that remind her of Aswan, like the sauna aboard the Moonchaser and can be found there often in her downtime. The humid heat reminds her of the jungle she grew up in. She is not a fan of spicy food, or the lizard chef that she shares a kitchen with.

Bio: The Shimmerwing family is known for their cleaning products in the Consortium and beyond. Brandy's known Erica and Sly since the equivalent of middle school. The blue jay wanted to see more than just the Avian Consortium, and so Sly hired her to work on board The Moonchaser. She worked multiple positions as he tried to find a good place for her, but it seemed that Brandy wanted a do (nearly) nothing job. Eventually she was placed in the housekeeping and janitorial staff. Partially to get her discount on all cleaning supplies her family company makes, and partially to keep her from complaining. She quickly rose up the ranks in the department as she had skill with the field because of her family business experiences. She was made head of the team, and it turns out that management suits her. She likes having staff to do all the actual work; while she herself only really has a few duties. Schedule the staff cleaning shifts, order cleaning supplies, work the specialty equipment (Buffers and Waxers etc.) and use the more dangerous chemicals when needed. Can frequently be found away from her post hanging out with her best friend Erica.

Yeah. As the story grew and kinda gained a life of its own I realized I would eventually need to show more characters that are part of the crew since Sly can't run everything himself. It's been fun coming up with characters for the various locations and attractions on board the zeppelin. I hope you've enjoyed them too.
