Venting.

Hello you all
Now I have never, ever vented about something on here, as I'm literally a happy-go-lucky person.
But this is just eating and tearing at me that it's not even funny anymore.
One, I know there is a lot and I mean a lot of people on FA, Twitter (X), TH, and so on that have likes and dislikes, right?
Right. So question. if you like an artist for what they draw and do, but one little thing, you don't like or goes against you for some reason. (not judging or anything here) Do you block them? Un-fav all of their art and so on? No, you ignore that part of art that they have made and move on. Same thing for social media. you can ignore that part of it and move on (Ex. Discord - you can mute parts of a server and keep going. Am I wrong?
But moving on. Not that long ago a close friend of mine came to me, asking if I knew anyone to help him get a sona ref. This sona is a sentiment to him and means a lot. I told them, yes, I'll look around and see what I can do.
Well after looking around for 3 days and looking at all of the people I follow and even got commissions from. I came back to one person. (Not going to name names out of respect)
But I contacted them and set up a Discord group call. We all talked, and went over a lot of things, the ToS, do's and don'ts, and so on.
As it was my friend's first commission in the fandom. All of us settled on the Ref-sheet commission and even a date to start payments. All of us were happy and my friend was excited that I found him an artist to work with.
I even invited the artist to a little server that I and a few friends have made and run.
Given there is both SFW and NSFW content on the server, all of which are marked and labeled as such.
Not even a full 24 hours later the artist leaves the server, blocking both me and my friend, let alone canceling the commission for him.
Why you may be asking?....for one little thing that one of my friends is into. and what is that one little thing??

He is the only person on that server that is into it. and again I don't judge or shame others for it. I'm not into nor do I care for it at all. But they are a friend of mine. So that gives the artists a reason to block both me and my new friend who is just starting into the fandom along with terminating the commission cuz of one person who isn't affiliated with them or my other friend.
For that reason, I lost all respect for that artist for a few things.
1. Being highly un-professional
2. Dissrespecting my friend
3. Blocking both of us for NO reason whatsoever
4. Overreacting
5. DIsscurging a new fur from trusting artists
To the artist if you are reading this,(you know who you are)
Thank you for leaving a new member of the fandom hurt, upset, and overall feeling like they did something wrong. All because you found one little thing that someone else likes that you don't, and taking it up and above something that it should have been.
Thank you for shattering his first commission and dreams of getting his OC a ref. I hope you're happy with yourself.
But I do hope you'll have a good day/nightsorry for the long read I had to get this off of my chest and I hope I'll never have to do this again as I now feel all icky
