Trying New Thumbnails
Let me know what you think! So many writers out there employ a similar thumbnail style and I find myself more likely to read their stuff if I can see the subject matter contained therein at a glance. Y'know, because TF stories are fucking stoopid.
Still hope to have Mongrel 3 out this weekend. It is a bitch to edit and to keep plot holes away. For reference, the Broken World story is now longer than The Hobbit and is at best 2/3 of the way done. That ... kinda blows my mind, really.
Edit - Okay, tried making them pop a little more. I think these are a lot nicer, definitely catch the eye more. And I think having too many keywords just makes it looked too cluttered. Also, I tried to use one thumbnail per "category". So Broken World gets one, the Lateral Move universe (a.k.a. the DCU--Dorin (non)Cinematic Universe) gets another, regular-ass werewolf stories get another, and one-of stories each get their own. Probably will tidy up one or two more, but I think these look pretty nice.

FA+

I think with some experimentation you can even find ways to incorporate personal stylistic flourishes, whether that's different colors or typefaces for different stories.
Very happy with this new approach, and eager to see how it develops.
Your new thumbnails are quite generic now. The advantage is that it is easy to read and see what to expect in the story.
The drawback: it is less eye catching. The werewolf pictures were good at catching attention and gives a rough idea for what to expect in the story, enough to make, at least me, curious enough to click it.
Sooooo... is it a good decision? Hard to say. But it certainly looks more tidy now.
