I was an idiot and followed the instructions of what looked like a rather convincing Discord support account.

This one's on me, it was my fault. I know better for next time.

A similar thing happened to me late last year, but it was a 'try this game I'm working on' scam. It normally wouldn't work, but the scammer got lucky and messaged me on my friends account that he hacked, who was actually making a game.

No, I opted to instead lock it and eventually delete it. Didn't want to get that arsehole anything, and he made a mistake of not actually locking me out of my account, so I just deleted it.
