If so, it should be members and 'guest' members of the board/workspace who are being limited on free plans. Those are people who have access to edit the board or certain cards on the workspace, not people who can view it.

If not, then could I get a link to where you read it? Would love to look it over.

Yes that is what I was referring to! The only reason I'm reading it the way I did is because when I set up the trello it said that "view only" boards were a paid feature as well, so anyone that looked at my commission board was counted as a guest member.

If I'm like wildly misinterpreting it I'd love to be proven wrong bc I really don't want to have to dig around for an alternative weeps

Ah, I completely get it!

They often use the term 'guest member' to mean members of a board who don't have an account but can edit which, is an unfortunate and awful name to use since that can easily be interpreted as just... a guest on the website. I'm certain this is just about the members who can edit a board since I just made a new one and I didn't get anything when I selected a public board. But I'mma go ahead and reach out to them just in case! I do have an older account so if this does mean what you initially thought it may just be for new members. I'll report back when I hear back from them.

I heard back from them! It does only applies to collaborators [with an account and ones who are 'guests'] and not general guests who are viewing the workspace.

Their response to me;

"These changes only affect Collaborators (people added to the board and Workspace). It does not affect users' ability to view a public board who haven't been explicitly invited as guests or Workspace members."
