It's definitely impressive! As someone who works with stuff like this, the technology is definitely there for a demo like this, but I'm still extremely skeptical for it's actual usefulness xD Although I suppose that's the direction we're going towards, who knows, we might have actually working robots at some point?

Supposedly on a warehouse/factory task it was about 16% the speed of a human. Of course very low but these last 2 years have been impressive progress..

I suppose AI can do some narrow tasks really well, I think that's what they're the best at xD The progress is impressive for sure, but having general AIs like the humane one from the video, those seem like a far dream for now.
I work with software, specifically in embedded stuff. It's not necessarily robotics, but quite close with the hardware stuff ^^ I do have lots of interests for AI, I have been studying it a bit on my own time.
