FA+

Huh. did they change that?
but who knows who the puritanian reaper visits next, nobody expected tumblr to do a tumblr years back either.
We also have pornhub who rather recently, within last couple years put in a 'animal genitalia' ban to stop bestiality, blamed paypal as well and included it on anthromorphised beings and it's STILL in their rules, and yet you can find it all over, being completely unenforced.
Nah. Blame the services. The reason that these supposed groups get away with it is because the sites want it. they're using these other groups as scapegoats and people are falling for it. over. and over. and over again.
If this hasn't been happening for over a decade at this point, and yet every site that claims it, happens to end up changing nothing for the better, or even adhering to the ruleset they supposedly were being 'forced into' clearly the people 'forcing' them aren't enforcing very hard, or they're being told 'hey how about make this change, and you can blame us for it' and jumping at the opportunity.
Then as well. FA claimed they were attacked over cub porn (which being gone is reasonable enough) as the FIRST thing paypal supposedly attacked them over, but bestiality has never been attacked on FA by paypal supposedly, yet then pornhub gets attacked for 'animal genitalia' being directly linked to bestiality.
None of these make sense as some puritan group doing it, because these groups would be harassing the payment processors over random shit and completely disregarding other sites doing the exact same thing, even though they would clearly want to get rid of ALL the sites that are doing the same stuff.
The only thing that actually makes sense, is that the people running the sites are sick of certain things being the majority of their site, decided to go through a change, and well wouldja look at that, there's some groups they can blame it on instead of take the heat themselves.
This was actually the cause of a (obviously small) exodus of porn artists from pornhub because of it, many of them tried to move to xvideos and xnxx, some tried to protest by censoring the animal genitalia behind silhoette (which didn't work for the rules either). Most were removed, and yet, even though this rule is still in place, you can see wild life videos running wild (no pun intended) right on pornhub still, full on animal genitalia and all. Not to mention much more since. The rule for fictitious animal genitalia is still in place, and yet, they don't remove it.
Not to mention what brought it up according to pornhub at the time was accusations they were harboring pedo content.... so they banned animal genitalia...
But yeah, If wanna see what i mean, just go to PH and search "yiff". wildlife vids, alot of skyrim bestiality vids all over the place, etc.
But the factoid was that a bunch of artists who made nothing but animated videos got purged for 'animal genitalia' when they enacted it. Yet it's not being enforced even though it's still a rule on the site.
It also isn't exactly logical to argue some anti-porn group is behind it because again, these sites always seem to go after a single thing but always different from other sites. Pedophilic content makes sense because it's illegal even at the federal level and most of these sites have some US connection, so federal laws could apply. But then bestiality would also be on the chopping block because it falls under animal abuse.
The problem with it being an organized group is that these sites always go after a different thing. If it were a group dedicated to eradicating porn, yes they might start out going after small things, but they'd go after sites one after the other after the other for the exact SAME thing. This is inaccurate to whats happening though.
Again. FA used it as an excuse to drop underage porn, and while some other sites like IB claimed to have been threatened by paypal at the same time over it, that's where it ended. If they were after other things, bestiality could've been on the chopping block. hell, IB already bans it when you read how their TOS is covered because they consider furry to be animals, and thus human x furry is bestiality according to IB.
Again though, FA even at the time and multiple times sense, has made it clear that feral x anthro or even feral x human is 100% allowed on the site. To add to it, these sites have had ALL these problems, yet all the slaughter and abhorrent stuff including but not limited to fetishes such as sexual snuff has been completely ignored by all these groups.
There's some absolute cesspit stuff on most of these porn sites, and yet we're supposed to believe a bunch of religious people see cockvore and cock-impalement-death and go "yeah that's fine. BUT LO! A HORSE PENIS! SHUT IT DOWN!". It just doesn't add up.
Plus keep in mind again part of the discussion over FA's ruling a bit ago... for all the supposed religious groups getting involved to try to sanitize it. they were aparently completely fine with children being eaten for sexual gratification because "it's not a sexual fetish".
I'm just saying. i do not buy that this is a religious group. There's not enough organization to focus on a specific thing until it's eradicated. Each site uses a different excuse and it's predominantly whatever is currently flooding their site the most. Either the people running the sites just didn't like the stuff and decided to scapegoat religious people, or it has to do with a storage problem where there's so much art and so little server storage left to go around. (this one has a possibility, because i remember a year ago FA administration on twitter was specifically talking about storage space becoming tight enough they were having to rework how icons functioned on the site, and then a couple months later, they broadened what constituted 'child porn', and if you've noticed, lots of shit that violates their rules still on the site)
To add to it, over ten years of this now. It's not a new thing. no group keeps at this shit for ten years without someone bitchslapping them and telling them to knock it off. Just look at how many movements you've seen come and go in a single decade, but we're supposed to believe that this disorganized cabal of religious prudes have created the most economically viable and yet competely scitzofrenic method to fighting against porn, yet somehow failing to actually succeed at it at any point.
They hit on the clever idea of targeting the banks and credit card companies that porn sites and sites like FA depend on for survival. It's the credit card companies and sites like Paypal that put the pressure on individual sites to censor certain things, and those sites respond to that pressure or a fear of that. Some may try to stand up against that, but most don't dare to in the end. It's just too risky for them financially. The inconsistency comes from how various sites choose to react to this pressure.
We don't know if this is what happened to FA, it's just theoretical, because FA wasn't transparent as to what their motivations were or whether they came from outside pressure or not.
That's the flaw here. It doesn't make sense that they would have been so powerful as to still be doing this, yet also so incompetent that the inroads they made is, at best "we got rid of child porn on one site, and every other site put rules into place they don't even follow. we're winning!"
Paypal didn't change their rules in regards to porn, there's a reason you have to be careful with wording when handling transactions for commissions through them. And yet... now shinies is a thing, a system specifically connected to paypal. I remember when that system was announced too.
Religious groups are always the first group blamed for this crap. Which at first i was where you're at, going "yeah that kinda makes sense". but it's been. more. than ten. years. There's absolutely no damn way it can still be happening, with the scant amount of progress. It also always seems to be right as a site is getting a surge of the specific material in question.
Don't take this as some "clearly there's a conspiracy by these sites to collude with one another to get rid of content they don't want". No. it's just sites deciding completely independently to go "yeah... this stuff is weird, i don't like it. Get rid of it. scapegoat someone and call it a day". This is why it's random as all hell. If it was coordinated it, they would have targeted all porn sites that they possibly could (which would be easy with a call-in campaign to different banks, which is the claim being made here). Instead, randomly, without any sort of explanation, they will attack one site here, one site there, one site over there somewhere completely unconnected, and even if they all host the same material, they will suspiciously not attack all three for the same reason, even IF it's a justified reason.
You can claim it's consistency with the idea that 'they're anti-porn' but then why would they go after specific kinks on porn sites, and most of the time not even extremely popular ones. just kinks that got a quick surge...
You seem to be conflating things that aren't connected, making generalizations where there's no proof of a connection, and accusing me of
doing those things where I'm specifically not. Perhaps it would just suffice to say that I disagree with you.
This has only hurt those sites, all of whom have only lost money, viewers, and participants due to it. Why would they want that? It would make no sense.
