Just wanted to share something of my life, since i feel lonely.
For past few weeks I tried to find a job in gamedev, i have a more o less portfolio, so i tried to send it to different companies. I get 3 test task for different job vacancies. And unfortunately I get rejected on all of them. Some other companies rejected just my portfolio. I don't know if my skills are so bad or is needed level of drawing is so high for junior position(
I have been drawing for about 5 years and my level is still not enough for a junior job.
It makes me sad, so i couldn't draw much and dont know what to do now(
So many possitions now have reqirement to use AI in work and so many people apply for artists positon. For one vacancy there were more than a 100 people.
In childfood it was my dream to work in gamedev now I'm sad I didn't just learned programming from the beginning.
I don't know what i will do next, should i try to search and apply for other art jobs or should i put my all effort here to drawing commissions and hope someday it will be enough to live ehh...
In anyone reads it and have a similar situation, stay strong, some day live will be better <3

A few bits of advice:
1. It's never too late to start learning something, so it's not too late to start learning programming!
2. Generally art jobs do require a fairly high level for most things, so you might not be there yet! Try again after some time!
3. If you want to improve your work quickly, do some studies! Especially the basics! Even pros aren't above studying those!
If you'd like some help with the basics, I can lend my (somewhat limited) critique! Or at the very least point you in the right direction
The thing is... I kinda don't know what I want anymore. World changes too fast. I still like drawing and want to draw more.
Programming is a job that my parents wanted me to do and it gives a lot of money, but I'm not sure I want to do it. Programming like art you need to give it your all to be good enough...
I'm just scared that everything i do will be just eventually replaced by Ai and I will lost everything, I feel like more and more people accept Ai now.
