ma kitty
Hi everyone! if you remember, some time ago I wrote about wanting to get a kitten. thanks to everyone who supported me with donations to buy her! a week ago I got the kitten from the cattery and I am very happy, she is really cute, but with that came problems because she acts like a little kid and doesn't let me sleep (I only got 4 hours of sleep in three days), so I can't get to work(comms) as fast as I would like. She also has problems going to the litter box, for some reason peeing in my bed seemed like a good idea and I need a lot of time to train her lmao. thanks for your attention and have a good day!
By the way, I named her Elsa! I'll show you a picture of her later

Two kittens or a senior cat maybe, they can train or tire each other out. Cats are about smell as well and mark, but marking your bed out of comfort (in their mind), isn't good! In feral kitten language they're a little scented but not entirely potty trained. It might be trying to 'mark' your bed as territory because it trusts/feels safe around you or thinks of your bed as 'home'. but you do want it learning to use the litter box!
If it makes you feel better, kittens also grow very rapidly, so your kitten days will likely last about like 3 more months until they grow up from happy bouncing ball to adolescant.
Make sure they have scratchers and teethers unless you want your furniture practiced on and fingers chewed! Oh and a good diet too. They do always say wet food is good or plain chicken, no spices (salt, garlic, and grapes/raisins like worcheshire is bad for them).
I think some people say, avoid the 'cheaper' cat food brands like friskies/meow mix, while 'cheap', cats are carnivores and cheaper mixes tend to have more corn/carbs in them, which can lead to easier risks of obesity/kidney problems down the line in cats.
I think our cat lived for 20 years on Kirkland cat food, people also say Purina or Hills science diet can be good (though hills can be expensive). You don't need to spend a foot and a leg, just avoid the trash brands that are basically the junk food with sawdust equivilent.
Hope you have a good time with the cat!
Oh and ofc, cats are cute, and i've met some sweet cats outside, but keep it inside if you can or to a safe backyard. Cats can hop or get lost and while many come back, there's all too many stories of kitties hitting a sad end if they wander too close to the road, and potential 'hitchhikers' even in rodents outside.
So keep em safe inside! And eating clean food. While we idolize nature in every movie, truth is, all those scraggity pelts often hide stuff. Just like how even humans drinking from a seemingly clear spring might get poop water inside em haha.
Kittens are a joy though, keep em safe, indoors, maybe cat grass and scratchers and some exercise toys and play to keep them simulated, and +- another cat (if wanted/desired / circumstances allowed), and they can be really fun cuddlefloofs!
