Thoughts on major SMG4 series villains
Here are my personal thoughts about various villains from the "SMG4" continuity. (As well as former villains.)
WARNING, THOUGH; THIS LIST CONTAINS SPOILERS!

SMG3
Pure evil? Not quite. EXTREMELY EVIL? He certainly was!
Originally? He was a jerk you'd see, now and then. In later episodes, during the "SMG3" story arc? He ended up being a control freak and a manipulative tyrant, trying to take over SMG4's YouTube channel!
While he ended up not being NEARLY as evil later on, (being more of a harsh and often SADISTIC anti-hero) he proves not to be COMPLETELY evil, but there's still a bit of villainy in him, now and then! (In fact? He prefers the crueler method, rather than murder; to make people's lives LIVING MESSES! And THAT is quite menacing and harsh!)
Deep down, he DOES end up having respect for the main SMG4 Crew, since...even considering SMG4 a friend, at times!
Francis
The one major villain that is DEFINITELY a force of pure evil! Clearly sane and manipulative, he's the reason why Desti ended up dying...poor Meggy!
Fortunately, he's dead and didn't get away with the murder!
Waluigi
Pure evil? Not really. An antagonist who had questionable methods, and even some degree of regret? YES.
Lawyer Kong
Pure evil? I'm not for certain. VERY evil? YES! At least when he was a corrupt, manipulative, LEGALIST lawyer under the nickname, "Lawyer Kong"! (Techincally was under the "lawful evil" category...but was a bigger nuisance than MOST villains! If not PURE evil, was INHERENTLY and otherwise EXTREMELY EVIL!)
And with him losing his job as a lawyer? He quit, went back to his old name as "Funky Kong", and became a salesman, even for firearms, instead...which honestly? That works MUCH better for him!
Mr. Puzzles
It's REALLY hard to tell with this guy, since he has yet to be given more character building.
Very evil? Definitely. But regardless, given an understandable backstory on why.
Based on the movie? Imagine where during your childhood, you had NO ONE...no friends, and your family basically could care less. And for that? You found inspiration to help you grow up. That's what happened to Mr. Puzzles, as a child.
But later on, wanting to make a good TV show with good ratings over the years, he was never able to. And with his career likely failing, he felt UGLY...thus, replacing his old HUMAN head with an old TV; making him NOT fully human anymore! And going so far into an INSANE obsession of trying to make a GREAT TV show!
But what made him suddenly take it too far? Well...he probably ended up CRIMINALLY INSANE. (But if I was there with the SMG4 crew? I could have at least TRIED To reason with him, before having everyone fight...showing SOME degree of respect, while explaining that he simply could have HIRED some people that were willing to TRY to act...I guess he wasn't very bright and didn't have enough common sense, there!)
Whether he's pure evil or not? THAT remains a mystery, for now.
Peach (SMG4 Version)
She used to be a fairly nice lady, with her questionable side to her now and then...until she ended up going INSANE; even BEING a fanatical dictator, during the "Anime Arc"!
But later on? She transformed into some disturbing abomination as a side effect of going COMPLETELY INSANE, from being trapped and alone, with little to NOTHING to do...as well as her home being destroyed!
She PROBABLY ended up a monster of PURE EVIL that is also COMPLETELY INSANE.
Niles
A villain with the SECOND most understandable motives in the series...not completely evil, but was insane and VERY evil.
Imagine where, you couldn't be cured after you got created...and so, you had to find some degree of a last resort treatment of going on a rampage, until you can FIND a cure, or have someone END your life.
With what happened with him? I feel a bit sorry for him, but I certainly don't approve of his methods, either.
However, sometimes the only way to save someone is death itself...and you know what? Fair point.
But at least he isn't NEARLY as evil as Francis...or Funky Kong, back when he was "Lawyer Kong", either!
One Shot Wren
Honestly? I wouldn't say PURE EVIL...was he VERY evil and OBVIOUSLY (but not fully) INSANE? YES!
But among all the villains, HIS methods were the ULTIMATELY most understandable...imagine where, you were a NICE person famous for your talent, but deep down, all you wanted to be was ACCEPTED...and to have acceptance as a person, within reality. But since too many people in Inktopolis rejected him ALL because of a silly sport? This leaves him alone with NO ONE.
And while he is aware that life revolves around no one, he felt that he would await a worthy rival to give him purpose...even if it meant someone to KILL him...and put an end to his misery.
In the end, he found acceptance in life and likely some regret for his actions, within death...thanking Meggy for being a worthy rival in the end.
But hey; sometimes the best way to save someone from falling COMPLETELY to corruption? Death itself...reminding us that a life without proper purpose, having no one, and feeling dull and otherwise COMPLETELY uninteresting? THAT is a fate even WORSE than death itself! And THAT could have made One Shot Wren end up COMPLETELY evil!
Perhaps it was death itself that gave One-Shot Wren peace...and you know what? Fair point.
