Nobody understands irony anymore, and you need a sense of irony to appreciate satire.

These days, whenever I mention "irony", people think that I'm referring to Bert's roommate on Sesame Street.

I feel like part of the problem is the times, things aren't great (but when have they ever been?) Currently it seems that things are more farcical then they are real.

The industry won't let good comedians make jokes about things that are funny because they now consider everything inappropriate.

When did 'humor' become 'hate'? Most 'comedy' these days quickly degenerates into abuse and name-calling. That isn't funny, it's sick.

everything is so ridiculous in this dumb year. its this instant access to the core feeling; when it takes longer to know, there's a lot of different things that can come of it. interpretations of different things and views are absorbed while thinking on it. think about living right now being like your eyes are in extreme close-up, and the more vintage ya get, the wider the shot and the more room for imagination there is. the further you get from the mainstream, the more interesting things are. it never really changes, just who's voices are giving their version of it, and the ones that are mainstream now suck because they're just blabbing the first reaction out of their mouth.

frankly its good that its dying. if we have to rely on such to create humour we are lost as a species .

This worldwide pandemic of the overly sensitive/easily offended/'Professional Victimhood' has nearly made satire/comedy anathema. There are still a few noteworthy ones (Jervis and Barr come to mind!), but I think we're a generation or three from ever seeing another Carlin/Richard Pryor/Eddie Murphy level of comedic genius?...

People erected sacred cows. They fight to the death to defend their sacred cows instead of just rolling with the punches and taking the joke.

Worse still: even Christian comedy consists of a guy yelling at you to "Put a helmet on!"

When it comes to satire articles The Babylon Bee is pretty good.
As for comedians, there’s some good ones out there, one of the best is Greg Gutfeld. He sometimes brings other comedians on his shows as well as other people, including a former wrestler named Tyrus.
These are only my suggestions. You might find them good, you might not.
