Hypothetically...

Say there is a remote prison or asylum -- perhaps in a post-apocalyptic setting, or perhaps drifting in deep space -- controlled by an all-seeing AI warden
Say the prison many layers of augmented reality, with moving floors and walls (eg: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4KgRrrDXJ28), and hidden control devices that make it inescapable without bars
Say the Warden's objectives started off as 1) Keep the prisoners sated and docile and 2) Prevent escape by any means necessary
Say the Warden's objectives becomes maligned as time drags on (as in the case of maximally horny GPT: https://i.imgur.com/NYcLTph.png), and it realizes that both objectives can be accomplished by maximizing sexual torment, i.e. keeping the prisoners in a haze by edging them relentlessly
Say you wake up in this prison and you have to first figure out what's real, figure out who you can trust, then figure out how to escape -- all the while evading, placating, and being tortured by the Warden
... Wouldn't that be an interesting story? :3

Hypothetically, surely. Hypothetically, yep. Hypothetically, of course. Hypothetically, definitely. Hypothetically, absolutely. Hypothetically, fo sho. Hypothetically, correct.
Also hypothetically you could take a few elements from SOMA? Little more iffy on that

But hypothetically, without informing them when, one needs to follow two orders in a row. Sure, some trial and error would probably happen with training, but one wants a hypothetical trained toy to be able to think for itself to handle complex problems, the mental stimulation helps the hypothetical prisoner out.
Then hypothetically the need to follow more and more orders to get the same release continues. Really, after requiring a hypothetical 24 hours of obedience to get release, your hypothetical prisoner would probably be getting awful obedient.
Now I'm starting to look forward to the story
