Eggnog and homemade coquito (the Puerto Rican drink for Christmas).

Also, trying to sleep all day while the family keeps calling every few minutes shouting Feliz Navidad and talking for hours about how they're having a great time. -_-

Christmas is more than presents or buying stuff. It's about being with others and togetherness. It's about caring about others and being with those you care about. That's something you can't buy in a store or wrap up.

personally, I celebrate Kwanzaa, so christmas is about spending cold weather with the guy/girl in your life to get some.... personally, I make some rum spice cake and have fun. gifts come later, but many people get gifts on christmas, so...

It's a time of year when we all set aside our differences regaurdless of belife or background. When we do things to help out our friends and family. When we think of others before ourselves.
Of course me personally I think we should spread joy and happiness all year round but still ,least folks are willing to do so this time of year. I think that's what it really boils down to.
Spreading Happyness and joy to others. Me personally ,seeing how happy I've made someone either by helping them or simply giving them something that makes them happy ,that is my favorite gift to have. Knowing I've brought joy to someone.

I hadn't heard that before. That's a very good point. It's altogether too easy to get lost in the commercialism and political correcting Christmas. I've had a few good Christmas moments this past year, and not just around this season. Whether gathering old computers to send to Africa (seriously, I did, and it still feels awesome!) or helping out friends, I guess I've had Christmas in my heart this whole year. With as hard as the economy's been for most, it's been hard to remain jolly while still needing to buy a lot of gifts for family and friends.

It means more to me than just presents ^^ I like spending time with my family and the spirit of the holiday presents are nice but not seriously important to me.

Oh but I'm sick of everybody trying to make things "politically correct" too, that just makes me a scrooge!!!

It's supposed to be a time of togetherness and giving. A time where friends and families join together and share their love among each other by way of giving and receiving heart felt gifts, things to show just how much they care. Christmas was a time to bond closer to loved ones, and form new bonds with friends you may not know too well. It's pretty much the time to spread love and joy to all those around you.

I won't go into how Christmas started of course, just what it's supposed to be these days, which it no longer seems to be. But I only feel that way cause I spend all my Christmases alone.
