Those two are on steam firealpaca SE and medibang steam but those cost money since there are exclusive features if you want automatic updates. Even krita is on steam.

a friend of mind use krita when she does her drawing's.

That's a good start since krita has a learning curve but can do a lot of things. Especially since the steam version is only about $10 bucks.

It's worth it for the auto updates alone, as well as supporting the developers. on steam since i bought it a long time ago there.

can you use free bases on there ?.
As in the stuff that users make like brushes and other tools those can be used since both versions are the same except steam version auto updates. but there is no steam workshop there for krita.

i've been wanting to get a paint tool soft wear to make some different character's with the bases i find.

Either Fire Alpaca, Mediabangpaint, or Krita which are free.

Krita is pretty great. That's what I use. GIMP is also supposed to be good.
