Earlier today, I finally reached the coveted S+ Rank in Splatoon 3's Anarchy Battle mode!
After trying, then failing on joining a competitive team, and then... I had a incident that pissed off a friend who was trying to help me in the ranked/competitive scene, causing us to separate, I decided to take matters into my own hands and and push myself to step out of the comfort zone of Turf War.
Armed just my beloved .96 Gal, I clawed up the anarchy battle ranks over the last week, from lowly C Rank all the way to the pinnacle, top-tier S+ Rank and achieved what I previously thought was impossible.
Honestly, some of those battles had me on edge. Sweaty palms, uncontrollable shivering, the simultaneous mental stress and thrill of those battles, being in the thick of it all, and hanging on by a thread or winning via a miracle rally... and I enjoyed every second of it ~
It wasn't without setbacks either. I didn't win every match... I lost some series', even lost points and had my rank point progress undone at times from losses or mistakes I made in the heat of battle, or a unlucky wipeout that occurred. But we learn from our mistakes, dust off and try again. Eventually, with time, patience and experience, I pulled through and came out on top as you see today.
Now, I see there are 50 more supplementary ranks above S+, all the way to S+50 but that's a whole nother journey and story for another time. I'm going to rest for now and enjoy the upcoming "Same Ol' vs. Bucket List vs. Save the Day" Splatfest!
I know this is a bit of a paragraph I'm going on about but I wanted to share my experiences and journey in Ranked Battles and how it felt reaching the top rank at long last, after I said I couldn't.
