Life Update!

Was a busy weekend for me!
Friday I graduated with high honors and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa and earned my degree in dental assisting, This has been a wild ride over the past two years, especially with how my jobs were treating me, juggling no job for several months this year, and of course Blade's medical emergency last January. To have all of that thrown at my face and still come out on top is quite an achievement.
Saturday though, I finally lived out my dream and got to marry my best friend
. A lifelong dream, I never imagined someone like me would ever get to be married, especially when you factor in I almost lost him last January. It felt like marriage - and happiness, for that matter - was something I wasn't allowed to have. But we had a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by our closest family and friends, and it's all we could have asked for. I had PCD on the drive home yesterday, it couldn't have been more perfect. (And yeah...we brought our fursuits. Our families begged us to lol).
That all followed hot on the heels after running around Furcationland in April. It was another successful year, with an almost 50% increase in attendance from last year and $10k raised for charity. I worked my curly tail off all weekend to the point I ended up injuring myself (oops)
Taking a short break but it's right back into it! I'd like to get back into more art but honestly, I've hesitated reopening for coms, the few times I've put myself out there I get no takers, or the people that do reach out ghost me after I show examples and the price list. It's disheartening so for now I'm closing indefinitely, only working on personal art or gifts as I see fit.
Plus with Anthrocon coming up hubby and I are focusing on how much stock we need to make and take with us. We've never sold at a con this big (I think the biggest we've ever sold at before this was ANE 2020) so we want to make sure we're at least somewhat prepared for it. First steps has been paring down our otherwise lengthy scent roster, and cutting a couple of products (no more 8 oz. spray bottles, for example). July will be here before we know it so I've got to juggle that on top of applying for both my CDA license and getting all the joyous legal stuff out of the way following a marriage.
