What?! Your monitor broke?! You didn’t drop it or anything, did you? Or did it slip off the desk, if it was on a desk at the time of breaking?

Oddly enough, none of the above. I just turned off the computer when I left, and when I returned, the monitor started "blinking" incessantly. This happened to it before, but after a while this symptom disappeared (after 5-10 minutes). I already bought it "second hand", and it has already served me for more than 8 years, so I think the monitor has simply served its purpose and just needs to be replaced. I don’t like to part with things that I’m used to, but I suspect that repairing it will cost more than half the cost of a new one.
