Tamminen Quarry Rockhounding Meet
Where: Tamminen Quarry, Greenwood
When: Saturday, July 13, 2024 1:00 PM
Are you interested in geology? Well join Luminous for the first Maine Rock Hounding Meet at Tamminen Quarry, located in the woods of Greenwood, Maine. This quarry offers the chance to find all kinds of rocks and minerals from Albite to Zircon! Black tourmaline, smokey quartz, and even beryl can be found here! Bring water and bug spray, and rock hammers/pick axes if you have them (don’t worry I will have a few extras!). Follow Richardson Hollow Road until you see the Ford Fusion parked on the side of the road and follow the trail to the quarry. This event is free to attend! Will likely be music playing from my blue tooth speaker. This event is outdoors, if weather looks to be not great meet may be cancelled/rescheduled.

Maine Wildlife Park
Where: Maine Wildlife Park, 56 Game Farm Road, Gray
When: Sunday, August 4, 2024 11:00 AM
Come to see some animals at Maine Wildlife Park located in Gray, Maine! The animals here are native ones who cannot be returned to the wild for various reasons. Moose, black bears, eagles, and more can be seen here! There is even an on-site fish farm! Space is limited to 9 people plus myself (10 total) and cost will be covered! We hope you can join us!

ITS BACK BABY... come on down for a day of fun and craziness. We'll be meeting in the parking lot, finding a good spot for our cooler of drinks then mixing it up this year and going to Splashtown first, then over to funtown. Funtown is open until 10PM!

Where: Meeting up at York High School (free parking!) 1 Robert Stevens Drive, York

[i]Join the crab in his natural habitat, the beach! Long sands beach in York, Maine offers something for everyone! Go for a swim, enjoy sun bathing on the sand, get a ice cream at Sun & Surf, or explore the tide pools for unique and unusual creatures. Meet up in the back parking lot at York High School because parking is free! Meet is scheduled for 3pm to correlate with low tide. This event is outdoors, if weather looks to be not great meet may be cancelled/rescheduled.
