An Update in How I'm Doing
            Hey!
First off, I want to thank everyone who reached out to me over these past few months with support and understanding while I’ve been trying to get myself in a good place to start working again. It’s really kept me at ease knowing that I can take this time for myself to overcome the stress and burnout that I was dealing with for so long. I just wanted to give an update to you all after my journal in early February.
This time off has been helpful in reorganizing my thoughts in how I approach art and drawing. It feels like I can say, “I get to draw” when I have the time, except for “I have to draw.” What a difference that makes. It has really helped in my excitement to draw again, I’ve had a few days where I would draw, go to work, draw during lunch, go back to work, then pretty much draw all night. While those days are few and far between, they show that I can be passionate about it again, in small stints.
I’ve been recently working on a larger project to help get me into the habit of drawing and tackling substantial work again. While the actual project may not be released for sometime even if a small part is finished, know that it’s helping me inch closer to building a good drawing habit to build off of. Being able to build this habit is essential to me returning in a comfortable spot, as it would allow taking on the monumental amount of work I have waiting for me to be much more easily slot into what I’m already doing.
I also still want to do a couple of smaller pieces like the recent Easter images, but the larger project is my main focus at the moment.
While I don’t have a definitive answer to when I’ll get back from my break, I do feel in a much better spot than I was. So I’m hoping for my return sooner than later. How soon? Hard to say.
I want to also thank everyone waiting for various images from me, whether you bought a commission in my latest commission list or my stream, or you helped with my design project in college more than a year ago. I truly, truly appreciate your patience with me and confidence that I’ll get this all finished once I return. (I also haven't forgotten about the voted reindeer piece)
If you want to ask any questions or reach out, don’t be afraid to do so.
Thank you all,
Oter
