Do you use an adblocker on Chrome? Sometimes that blocks images, especially if "ad" is in the title/filename.

What version of macos and chrome? It's probably not a comcast issue since firefox works so my first guess is older software. Also out of curiosity, does Apple's Safari briwser work?

So given the version numbers I'll do a bit of cross referencing and see if there's anything that jumps out at me.

It sounds like something is specifically blocking the thumbnail server (t.furaffinity.net) in your Chrome setup, and possibly the picture server proper (d.furaffinity.net) if you get no content at all even after clicking on a (broken) icon. Perhaps check to see if those two addresses are blacklisted somewhere in your Chrome config, or if ONLY https://www.furaffinity.net is whitelisted.

Does Chrome have its own HOSTS list, perhaps?

Sounds like a browser issue.

I use Firefox, and have never had any issues. There are good reasons to avoid Chrome, prime among them being that you can guarantee that Google is scraping any data it can get from you and using it for whatever hey want.

I use the Brave browser, which runs FA flawlessly. If all else fails, perhaps open a ticket to the admins via the FA Support tab.

I'd suggest to just drop Chrome and swap to Firefox. Google is implementing changes that are going to stop ad blocking software, so things may get worse for you.

In particular, I know that it's super easy to accidentally block unintended elements (such as images) with ad blockers, like uBlock Origin. There's usually a custom blacklist in the add-on settings; it might be worth looking through to see if there's anything set up for the site!

Sometimes you have no choice but to use the browser that works. Until an unusual bug was fixed by the lead developer, I could not use my preferred browser with my bank, and would always switch to another.

Also, I suggest using Waterfox instead of Firefox. It is a LITTLE more privacy friendly.

Yes, by getting a new computer. My old Mac brick was getting glitchier and glitchier, as well as simply obsolescent. I can also see thing with my alternate lap top, like what I'm using at the moment.
