My art sucks and we all know it meme

Er, actually, it's the "What you don't like about my art" meme.
What is it about my art/me that you don't like? What could I do better, or not do at all?
Anything else you believe i can improve on?
What do you love about me?
What do you hate about me?

I love your simplistic style. I just seems to work quite well with the childish nature of the McInTots comic which made me watch you in the first place.
Also, the line weights are too consistent... you should use thin lines for subtle features, and thicker lines for outlines, to distinguish characters from the backgrounds. You may also want to throw in some background details so it doesn't look like your characters are floating in a milky white void.
There are points in the comics where you take the Penny Arcade route of pasting the same characters in different frames, slightly changing the face to express different emotions. Don't do this; it's a cop-out. You're missing a golden opportunity to sell the personalities of the characters when you keep them in the same poses. Thoughts are expressed not only through words, but gestures.
When you draw full body poses, use a line of action, then draw a skeletal structure over it, then draw details on that, and then finally the clothing. The line of action will give your characters' poses emotion and impact, while the layering will give the characters a more natural look. Clothing in particular should look like it's being worn, not bolted onto the character, so make shirts billow if they're not tucked in and add some seams to pants if they have it.
All right, I'm starting to sound like a dick so I'll switch gears. The facial close ups are well done, adding impact to dramatic scenes. I especially liked the artsy "half character" drawing you did in one of the sci-fi comics. Keep doing these, but take the advice I've given you earlier and make these scenes really pop. That's what's missing from your artwork right now... pop. It's the kind of thing you have to really strive for. Right now I'm seeing "just good enough," and that's never enough to make an impact.
Alot of the things you mention I would be doing if it didn't take so long or it's something I'm not quite good at yet. The shading is something I've been trying out in Edo Tails and Protostar Zero, cus I never really have done it before.
I do like that thick outline/thin inside look. It's something I've been meaning to get around trying. The line consistency, however... well, it's not something I have a great amount of control over. What you see is what I was lucky to get out of an hour or two of trying to draw the stuff.
One thing you mention a lot of people mention: the copy-pasting. I don't see it as a cop-out, in the way that I'm using it; I'm trying to stay true to THOSE particular moments in real life. Not every single emotion has a gesture attached to it. Not every single line of dialogue needs a stupid dramatic pose. Then it would look stupid, unreal or stagey and look like I'm trying too hard to show off. THE CHARACTERS WOULD FEEL LIKE CAPTAIN KIRK (as exaggerated by Family Guy.) I've never EVER liked it when people do it. Now, I'm not saying characters should remain static. No. Just... ugh, when people in REAL LIFE talk, they don't usually put on a show, know what I mean? I do the copy-paste on purpose, not to be lazy (maybe in a FEW instances) I do it for the exact comedic or dramatic timing I'm striving for. Like I said, not every emotion or dialogue has to be... undulated or spasmed out of the character like a high-pressure water hose. I don't think I'm missing out on any opportunity for personality. I mean... poses and gestures are important, yeah, and so is dialogue, of course, but I don't want to over power something that honestly doesn't come into TOO much play in real life. Real life isn't about people flailing about. I don't even know people like that. Most people just... move their hands a little when talking. It's about subtle movements humans do, which is what I do when I change the little parts of copy-pasted images. Kids, especially, just do stupid shit with their hands when talking, which I've been trying to figure out how to properly portray that.
I do draw line of action, skeleton, character, clothes, but for some reason, the skeleton looks MUCH better than when the body is drawn. It's annoying. It won't translate, so I've been experimenting lately with EXTREME lines of motion and seeing if that translates to something hehe. So far it's kinda working.
Also, clothes are not easy to just DRAW. I'm trying to get in more realistic looks of clothes, but it's not like it's something that just COMES naturally. There are lots of things I'm trying to get right.
Also, I'm not trying to make any kind of impact. I'm just doing something that I love. That's all.
I like that you've stuck with it, the drawing for so long.
And I LOVE the black and whiteness. Please don't switch to colour! [/manga nerd]
