Lucky bastard, always wanted to go visit Ireland. I can't imagine airfare from Alaska is cheap though.

Not really, but it's not cheap to fly anywhere.

Scary thing was, it would have been cheaper for me to fly from Chicago to London, than Chicago to San Jose California. Then again I need to renew my passport, its 10 years out of date. $520 RT to San Jose, $450 RT to London.

For me locally I always price (If flying) from my home town in Madison, Milwaukee and O'Hare in Chicago. 90% of the time its cheaper out of Milwaukee, even with off site parking, But depending on the location destination, O'Hare is often half the cost even over Milwaukee since its a major hub. I just catch a bus down to O"hare at $30, saves on surface parking at $20 a day minimum, some lots are as high as $35 a day. But if theres like a $40 difference from Madison and Milwaukee, I'll leave locally, saves on gas, travel time and parking.

I'm STILL kicking myself not jumping on a cheap fare to Japan a few years ago, could have round tripped it for $650!
