Anyone else wonder how people self regulate?

Maybe it's just cause I'm autistic, but I can never just find a healthy middle ground. I usually end up working myself to the point of exhaustion and end up crashing for a couple days so it's like I'm constantly either super productive or unable to get out of bed HAHAHA
Hopefully one day I'll find the middle ground but for now I guess I'm just on that artist rollercoaster-

Basically, if you have multiple obsessions that engage different parts of your mind/body, and you swap between them when you feel burnout coming on, you'll be able to rest the parts of yourself that would get burnt out. This is especially good if you can get into something athletic or in nature: in my case, after an hour or two hiking, I'm refreshed and ready to jump back into whatever computer thing I'm working on.
Also, just self awareness and giving yourself a break when you think you need it.
