I am currently open for two story commissions at my usual rate of $0.02/word.

Given the popularity of Should Have Read The Fine Print, I'm eager to write something similar. As the characters themselves belong to me, with Guri having done the commission based on the events rather than the characters, if anyone wants another chapter, I'll be offering a 20% discount on my rates for that specific scenario. Though the preponderance of my stories is in the weird, insecty tentacle egg-laying weirdness kind of scale, I am willing to explore other themes and honestly, would very much like to. And so this commission is open for ANY pairing, with the following content hard 'nos'.

My base price is $0.02/word, which puts a 5000 word story at $100. For reference, "Unexpected Seed Collection" was about 6000 words, and "A Stranger's Taste of Honey" was about 5000. I bill based on my estimate. If it looks like I will go over my estimate by a thousand or two, which I often do, I do not require further payment, but if the scope of the story necessitates a significant increase we may have to negotiate more payment.

So, here's the process involved. My TOS will follow, but we'll hammer out details.

How to Order

1. When open for commissions, approach me by DM or through the method indicated on the related post. Detail the basics of what you would like, include character information, basic plot, theme. Be as specific as you can. By taking this step, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions as laid out in this document.

2. If I agree to the preliminary idea, I'll have you contact me via Discord or Telegram so we can chat. Once we've fleshed out the details of the story you would like, and I have a better idea of the overall length and scope of the project. I will work up a basic synopsis. If you approve, we will settle on price. Do not pay me yet!

3. I will attempt to write a page or two of the tale. This gives me the chance to figure out if the story will flow properly and help me decide if I can complete the story. If / when I feel confident that I can complete the commission, I will ask for payment.

4. I will periodically contact you with progress updates, and any questions or clarifications I may need. Depending on your preference, I can give you updates AS I write through Discord DMs. Should you find yourself unsatisfied with the in-progress prose to the point you wish to cancel the commission, you will only receive a refund based on how much of the project is completed.

5. Within 30 days of payment, I will deliver the first draft. It will have gone through a basic proofread. Upon delivery of the first draft, there will be no refunds.

5. Basic edits, proofreading and editing are included as part of the commission. Large, sweeping changes that require extensive rewrites will not be possible without additional payment. Once the final product is approved, it will be posted publicly on FA, SoFurry, Inkbunny, and the FA submission will be linked on Bluesky. You are welcome to post the story on your own pages, of course.

Payment

Payment is only required on completion of Step 3.
Payment before Step 3 is complete CAN be refunded at your expense if we do not pass Step 3.
All prices listed are in USD, despite me being in Canada.
Payment is exclusively through Paypal everywhere except Canada.
Canadian residents may pay an agreed upon price in CAD through e-transfer.
