Man Job Hunting is stupid....

supportspeciesdiversity.......been trying to get a 2nd Job, or a Completely New Job, but not matter what its always such a weird and stupid and demoralizing Experience.
And everybody has tips from the 60s that never work today, or every job wants you to do some stupid app or online application. Saying they are hiring, but never hire, or hardly give an interview.
Been Trying to get something New, and Consistent, my current job Ive been in for 12 years, and while I like it, none of my hours are guaranteed. Its on-call, and when there is workk, HELL YEAH, but it has dry periods, and rent LOVES to rise during the dry period. Then with the economy the way it is, I cant sustain myself on it anymore unless I want to risk becoming homeless....AGAIN.
Lifes Unfair, Depression, woe is me, blahblahblah.
Sometimes it just feels good to vent even if nobody cares...it is MY issue afterall.
Anyway, sorry Ive just been so quiet and absent.
Just trying to figure out life again.
Things will eventually figure themselves out, but just like The Calm after Destroying Sin, next year it comes back to destroy Spira.
Hope Everyone else is being safe and healthy.

Or heck, Ive been declined because I dont drive, even though the job I was trying to get had nothing to do with Driving.
I did everything I was told that "Wprks" and nearly exhausted every open that I could reasonably commute to, but apparently there is a Filter?

I know when I got my job at McDonald's in 2010 they had an in person form.
And then once again I HAVE to apply online. Which....often leads to nothing.
Only other chance Id get is with a Job Fare, and those are also hit or Miss.
But I am going to try for another one. Maybe Ill get lucky.
From what I've heard from people in the past few years for more responses is that you need to keep changing your resume and reapply to places multiple times, a lot of resumes get rejected because their algorithm picked out one word it didn't like and threw out your resume, many times its a completely harmless word that a normal person would gloss over but the ai overlord didn't like it suddenly. Otherwise temp agencies will get you work fast but it might not be something you like
That is pretty freaking stupid if its in fact true and is super demoralizing to hear. Now I have to consider what it is, and its just going to make me lose my mind to the point I feel like Ill have to lie on my resume or something.
Well...we'll see. If I have to get THAT desperate.
Im desperate enough to do nearly anything as a side job, but again, over here at least, I have to do an online app. And even then its another curating process I gotta sit through and pray on.

its honestly ridiculous all the random bullshit that can get your resume picked to be looked at by a person or just thrown out never to be seen. and somehow that's a better alternative in their eyes

You go to collage or get some sort of Training to do your job, and be better at your job, which should ook more marketable for higher positions...NOPE, Your too good, you know your value, we dont want to pay you. Decline.
You dont know ENOUGH, never went to collage, or dont have a certain type of degree, NAH, We want somebody we dont have to train for anything. Decline.
Its insane.

I get it mean, and I'm so sorry.
And this is the same issue I faced a decade ago before I got my first job. So now I have Legit Experience under my belt, and I still cant find a job / 2nd job. Dont get it
I got sued by a hospital because I couldn't afford my medical bills (I was too sick to work, they kept sending me home) and then I had to get a 2nd job at a warehouse that was hiring anyone with a pulse and I had to do the dance of 2 jobs to pay off the debt.
But at least I was able to ditch one job and just keep the 2nd one. So long as I don't go crazy I've been able to manage. Thankfully I live in a older place that's not too expensive and so long as I keep things minimal I'm good. It's also why I don't get as many comms as I'd like. :c
Also, some of these artists are irritating me because I'm still waiting on shit I paid for a while ago.
But that's another story :)
But I’ll say this.
Don’t lose hope. It’s easy to, and this is the part where you might assume I’m going to bring up the Bible or some other thing, but I’ve lost hope and didn’t get hired over that before. This isn’t me telling you to suck it up, but I am telling you to stay strong. You’ll make it, and you’ll be even better for it.
Because...I kind of have to, and Ive been hearing it for decades, before, and during my job lol.
But, I get what you are saying, and I havent given up yet. Silver Lining in the mean time, my current job is picking up again. But for how long is the question lol.
