F*ck! I got fleas again!

One of the things I hate, while staying longer down here in the countryside, on Mom's farm, is fleas!! We keep the animals on our farm, pest free, but the old guy, "nextdoor" even lets, the rats roam free in his house... I hate to use flea powder as a deodorant, and use a dog's flea collar, as a leg bracelet... and my Half-brother is forced to do this also... and what do our dear Mother says? :Catch them. They don't seem to like "her taste" so it's easy for her, to say that! How the heck, can you catch something, you don't even see?! These pests don't come out to the light! Thanks to my added weight, I can't even reach, see, scratch... some spots, where they bit me! Some of these bites are even turning red... least I want now, is a blood infection... Brother is using all the disinfectant there is here, in the First Aid kit, on me... Come on, isn't there a quick/permanent/efficient way to get rid of fleas?! We tried a bunch of solutions, I found on the internet... not much luck. I want to go back to the City!! (Bro says I'm a true country girl, when I cry like that... also, currently it would be the homeless shelter, thanks to my roommate, who "Locked me Out..." and there are fleas there too... but... City fleas seem to be weaker...)

Ever since I had to deal with the common housefly I wanted to use a flamethrower against these kinds of bugs, but in this case I have to advise against that, 'cause the collateral damage would be way too severe.

But, a housefly does not bite! It only has a "sponge like mouth" to sip liquids... A horsefly bites... As for the flamethrower... I hope you're not one of those, who want to burn me as a witch... Trust me, the flea bites already give me the burning feeling...

No, not you, the fleas are meant as the target! And I meant it as in "Just seeing a common housefly makes me want to kill it with fire." Not even mentioning the biting/stinging ones like the mosquitos and ticks I get where I live every spring/summer.

Mosquitoes are unpleasant indeed, but atleast they make a sound, so you can prepare for the bite, or try stop'em... Fleas are silent... as for ticks they are really nasty... we don't have much here of those luckily, the climate is too dry for them in this dust bowl, where our farm is. You must live near a lake... mosquitoes need water... well, atleast the air is probably nice and fresh, and the water is great, to cool off, on a hot summer day...
