Not at all. It was at one of the convention overflow hotels (so fewer people) and while dramatic, wasn't witnessed by a lot of folks. I heard it only in passing.

I will add that it's good on him for neither trying to hide this the way some cons did with their 'problem kids' or letting it get all over the news in some wildly distorted fashion.

I've heard that this guy cosplayed as a Jihadi at other cons and used to march around with a sword and a 'severed' fursuit head. I doubt he was anything other a goon myself, though this was still a surprise.
