use someone else's art as background for one of the many devices you own?
just a random thought that flitted through my head, and i decided "when was the last time i posted a journal" ~checks the dates~ "OMG IT'S BEEN THAT LONG" ~panic ensues as what i assume are two braincells work to write something here to pad out an other wise short unassuming post~

I got a bunch for my iPhone and nobody sued me for this reason.
So tldr, your phone’s wallpaper for your own private aesthetics falls under fair and acceptable use.
However if you intend to sell the image or put it on display for public viewing then I would seek permission.
