Regarding The Big News (of Yesterday)

Remember, most news is garbage, and the closer to the event, the more garbage it is likely to be.
Waiting 24/48/72 hours to let things settle is reasonable, though maybe not easy.
And no matter where you are on the "political spectrum" I think it reasonable to agree that violence is not the answer to simple disagreement. As to what... set things in motion... I cannot really guess. There are many possibilities. it might be as simple as "crazy" (which is NOT really simple...) but... well... DON'T PANIC. That's the worst thing that could come of this.
If you feel a need to Do Something: Stock up like so you can get by for a few days without going out. Yeah, it doesn't seem to make sense for this, but being able to weather a storm.... well, no harm in that. And though it is Summer (in the Northern hemisphere), bad weather, floods, etc. can still happen and cut you off. Be prepared. But don't be stupid.
May you have a wonderfully DULL time. Boredom is infinitely better than Terror. Alright, have exciting times "in bed."

I just wish I could figure out WHY that person wanted to do that. What was he hoping to achieve if he actually *succeeded*? Even in stories from video games i play, I know martyrs could spark a radical change that could really swing the pendulum of things, and usually not in the nicest of ways.
