SO, chapter 4... I already have over a 1000 words. This is my Outlast story I have been making for a while now. The past 3 chapters have pretty much just been how Eddie Gluskin and my self insert live and survive trapped inside the now defunct Mount Massive Asylum (a lot of fucking...) but chapter 4 is different. Before chapter 4, the side characters have been very brief or killed, like Jeremy Blaire leading my self insert to the gymnasium and we are not sure what happened to him since, but very brief. Chapter 4 introduces a new character that is going to be a new main character. His name is Arthur, he is an inmate at Mount Massive who was wrongly imprisoned, and since Murkoff was doing illegal experiments on patients and the overall experience of being wrongfully imprisoned at a place like that, Arthur became mentally unstable as well as further delusional because of being put in the morphogenic engine. The Walrider being escaped also is shown to make all the patients worse, so that adds to that as well, how a perfectly fine man had become what he is now. His name was inspired by Arthur Shelby from Peaky Blinders, one of my favorite shows. So Eddie and I meet Arthur, Eddie almost kills him since his job since everything went to shit is to protect and patrol the perimeter of the vocational block to protect his new wife. Arthur warns Eddie of the Walrider being broken out and killing, and that the original host of the Walrider had died and it has chosen a new body to possess, and they aren't sure where it could be, so escaping the asylum is the best option since rescue has not come. Eddie is weary of Arthur at first, but they choose to let him lead the way out of the vocational block.
Originally I started this story to be a focus on sexuality, losing sanity and falling in love, and animalistic urges, but I want it to become something even more. Outlast itself broke barriers in the horror game scene, doing things no game had done before, making it the best horror game to date.
