Been feeling kinda "eh" lately

Hoo boy, haven't made a journal in a minute!
Y'all, bear with me, as I'll be a sad panda for a few weeks since I need an increase on the meds I have now or need something new all together (antidepressants) ;_;
But there's something I've been thinking about--OC content. I've been so busy with art boss stuff--stuff I can't even show yet--that I haven't been able to draw for me too much...but part of me wonders, would anyone be even interested in the OC content/comics/stories I have to show and tell? I used to draw them all the time, but I guess I shied away from that since people prefer seeing fanart from me of already established characters.
Time constraints and a bit of self doubt is wearing me down a bit :c

Yeah, I've been wanting to get back into making comics with my ocs since it's been a long time--just something for fun and practice, really.

Why not a clean slate? Something fresh, but keep doing your older projects?

Depends what you're aiming for. I truthfully don't aim for an audience with my art, I am content writing whatever I want, even if its not acknowledged. Don't let that dissuade you from really enjoying what you're enjoying art wise. If you have a doubt of what you're doing, do tell. Are ya drawing for the purpose to awe an audience, or drawing because you WANT to express a story?

Well, I used to draw oc stuff for the fun of it, not necessarily for an audience...but it would be nice if others enjoyed the story as well. But honestly, I just need to find the fun in drawing for me again, because I've been working a lot for others.

If anything, sounds like you want an art-partner to create something together to make more art.

I'll admit, I am hesitant to the idea due to "past experiences" with previous partners always falling out. I would LIKE to give it a try, but it would very much depend! Sonic and Pokemon are definitely series I am content with trying something for. BUT you probably would prefer an artist that's more on your level, yes? I don't wanna pry too much in it.

Well, the kind of help I want is more on the idea/writing side. Like I have a ton of ideas and never know what to go with, so I feel like I need someone to slap me and say "just go with this one, dummy" lol
Ah alrighty! I am an idea kind of guy, I like world-building alot and rewriting worlds to fit more my comfort. Is that what you want more, a world-builder with ideas for a setting, characters, etc.? Or something a little more to do with writing?

Maybe some world building help with characters? Like I have too many of them and need to cut out some so it's not to "crowded", per se. Like I have ideas, I have some world building done, but mainly, I think I need someone to bounce ideas off of, if that makes any sense

That makes sense! Like brainstorming on the spot, cherrypicking the ideas out of the basket? I don't mind offering ideas, but its truthfully your choice, I just don't wanna come off intrusive, or hopefully not too conflicting with my views of specific series too lol

I don't know what you might be considering, but I remember your little dragon Sean, and liked your art of them. I say do whatever OC content you want, when you want. It's your page, not ours.
