R.I.P. Dragoneer
Wearing my John-Deere cap and wiggling my digits against the gas pedal as I grip the steering wheel.
This just came as a complete shock to me. I had no idea Dragoneer was fighting an illness, but it's true, the man behind FA has sadly passed away at the age of 44. The cause of death is unknown at the moment, but it was either a rare bacterial fungal infection, or advanced stage lung cancer from what I'm seeing online.
I never met you, but I know the impact you had on the furry community and your contributions to it. It was thanks to you that I found a home away from home, a place where I belong, and getting to co-mingle with similar like-minded furs with boundless imagination. I am grateful for all you've done, all the people you've touched with your actions.
I want to say, thank you. Thank you for giving me a place where I can be myself, and thank you for all you've done for the furry fandom at large. You will be missed. And I hope you're resting well, free of pain in the afterlife. Goodbye, Dragoneer.
And don't worry about the fandom, we'll keep on truckin' along for you.
