I didn’t know him closely, but he was always very friendly and radiated positive energy the few times we interacted. I recall when he commissioned me, he praised my professionalism at a time when I was struggling with a lot of self-doubt. He had no way to know how much I needed some kind words at that time, but they really gave me a boost. I wish I’d told him then how much that helped me, because now I won’t have the chance to.
